Live your life..
Written in September 2009, couldn't sleep....put a pen to paper and didn't stop till all my thoughts were written. I believe that to truly find who you are you must take yourself out of your comfort zone, challenge your courage, test your inhibitions, and be open to trying anything...within reason and without judgement. I want to get to know people who know a different world than I do, listen to those who have different beliefs than me. I want to test myself and experience things that I fear and open my mind to a whole world that I forget is out there on a daily basis. Whenever I get too comfortable I wanna move on to something else that's unfamiliar and do it all over again. All I need 2 survive in this world is water, food, and shelter. As far as love......there's all kinds, know yourself, love yourself, and respect yourself and you will have the strength to conqeur any hardships you will come across in life. Too many people.....of all ages spend their time looking for love from a companion when really we should be spending the time discovering ourselves as individuals.....finding out who we truly are....surprising ourselves with things we never knew we were capable of, and standing strong as ONE person. You'll surprised with what you will learn about yourself if you take yourself out of your comfort zone and expose yourself to something new. Live life for yourself!! It's your life, you choose your destination. I feel like there's this expected robot like life for so many people where I'm from. Graduate highschool, go to college, get a job. Or graduate highschool, get married, have a family. The two most common results with usually the first being the socially "correct" thing to do. Where in either of these plans do we learn about ourselves?? or the world...?Other than textbook....tv....or Internet. We spend soo much time worrying about getting a good job so we can make enough money to survive in life....but what about actually living life? What about learning things firsthand rather than from textbook, a professor, or from the biased opinions of some news anchor or talk show host. I guess we all seek different things in life, and I've learned for me the most important thing in life is to look back in x number of years from now and be proud to say "Wow....I experienced more than I could have ever imagined". To feel that way will make me feel richer than anyone in this world.
